….Feelings do not exist any longer. Once in a while, the gentle reminder of what was will creep back up into my consciousness. This bringing the past spiraling up and bursting into my awareness. But, these moments are lost in a single moment of carelessness and the seemingly better life before me.
….The breezes are much cooler now as the children begin to skip rope in the school yard above the hill. In this cool afternoon she thinks back again to those younger years when life was not fully understood, but was much simpler.
….Breathe in and let free laughter and games. Back in those days, growing old was so far away, grandparents were here to stay, and summer days never seemed to end….and there was always someone to listen or speak too it seemed.
….Now life is so serious, and poisoned by always wanting…. a small music box that once made her so cheerful, turned into the surround sound stereo she now has, but never plays. She wants it all….the love of a marriage complete with long lasting happiness, no complications, feelings of consistency….or….is it the security she longs for….
